idb: Instrument Header Database

The instrument header database is an ASCII file of the entire header from each image of GONG data from a particular tape.
Each line is an exact copy from the original FITS formatted header, i.e. 80 character maximum length.
This file is tarred, compressed and then catalogued into the DSDS with a name of the form:

Site(2 chars) "idb" Date(yymmdd) .tar.Z

For example, the temporary instrument database file,   BB.030502.instrument.headers
would become   bbidb030502.tar.Z   via:

        tar -cf       bbidb030502.tar   BB.030502.instrument.headers
        compress   bbidb030502.tar
